With years of experience in social work, Lungile owned insights into the social challenges in our unequal society. She dedicated her efforts to running vegetable and soup kitchen projects in schools and establishing entrepreneurship programs for abused women and rape survivors in Durban. She also worked on projects with homeless youth recyclers in Johannesburg and Bez Valley.
During her time in Timbuktu, Lungile was leading project management and development. She implemented activities and programs, documented their progress and sustainability. Lungile took charge of the mother-programs, community outreach, and the soup kitchen.
Although Lungile is no longer active in Timbuktu, her legacy lives on, as she passed away in 2023.
